Fees for Australian Students
All universities in Australia charge students upfront tuition fees for postgraduate coursework. At Macquarie University, different charges and procedures apply for Australian students and International students.
Please check with Coursework Studies(PG) for the details of Postgraduate Tuition Fees 2008.
Please be aware that fees may change from year to year and the University reserves the right to vary, without notice, any information relating to fees applicable to enrolment in any program or unit of study.
Different charges and payment procedures apply for international students.
At other Sydney universities, the tuition fees for a masters level ICT program can range upward to almost double the cost of our full degree. The total duration and content of these programs varies, so you should check the fine print from each institution when comparing courses.
Ancillary costs to consider include Student activities fees, textbooks, stationery and transport.
Late application and late enrolment fees are sometimes charged by the University, and financial penalties can be applied for rules transgressions such as the late return of library resources.
Government Assistance to Pay Tuition Fees
There are no Commonwealth-supported places available in our postgraduate IT programs. All our students pay full tuition fees. The Commonwealth Government formerly provided an interest-free loan facility called the Postgraduate Education Loan Scheme (PELS) for students paying full tuition fees in postgraduate courses. This has been replaced from 2005 with a new loan scheme called FEE-HELP. For more information about the FEE-HELP scheme please visit the Commonwealth Government website.
Scholarships
Please check the Postgraduate Coursework Scholarships and Awards for more information.
